The 5th May, 2012. The Buddhists celebrate the Visakha Buza Day worldwide. It’s a one of the holy days of the Buddhism. This day encompasses the birth, enlightenment (nirvana) and passing away (Parinirvana) of Buddha Sidhata Gautama.
The exact date of Visakha Buza celebration varies according to the various lunar calendars used in different traditions. For example, in Theravada Sector i.e. Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar. It falls on a full moon day, typically on the 5th or 6th of May.
